2. The new IP Alarms Australia service is another ideal replacement for Securitel.
Utilising the the well known and very popular Linksys adapters, these allow your alarm to be monitored over the internet for a very low cost. Other brand of adapters can be used, but the Linksys offers redundancy to our servers located across the country.
Linksys is a subsidiary of Cisco a leading I.T company that has developed a range of adapters for making phone calls over broadband, commonly known as VoIP. The devices can be setup to allow your alarm to be monitored whilst you save on a pstn phone line, and can utilize your Naked dsl, or fibre connection to allow your alarm to communicate over the Internet with frequent polling to acknowledge system vitality and line breaks. This is the lowest cost solution on the Australian market @ $3.30 per month* on top of your existing monitoring fees.
